Armin Strom was founded in 1967 by Mr. Armin Strom in Burgdorf, Switzerland. Mr. Strom was renowned for his exceptional skills in hand-skeletonization and watch restoration. Over the years, he developed a unique expertise in the art of openworked movements, even earning a Guinness World Record in 1990 for creating the world’s smallest hand-skeletonized watch for ladies.
In 2006, the stewardship of Mr. Strom’s legacy was taken over by Master Watchmaker Claude Greisler and businessman Serge Michel. Together, they revitalized the brand and opened Armin Strom’s first fully integrated manufacture in 2009. This allowed the brand to design, develop, mill, emboss, galvanize, hand-finish, and assemble all of its watches in-house, ensuring complete control over the production process.
