SCIENCE OF MOVEMENT

Time is encoded in movement. We decode it through our timepieces. Through precision engineering, craftsmanship and the passion for watchmaking that goes into making them.
Our ambition requires a science of its own: the science of movement. This science is at the heart of everything we do. And that is transforming the abstract idea of time into tangible horological art.
We believe that meticulous craftsmanship is the only way to achieve this. That’s why all our timepieces are made by hand, with 97% of the movement parts developed, produced and carefully hand-finished in our manufacture in Biel/Bienne.
Test Subject: Time. Method: Precision. Result: Horological art.
We believe a watch should reveal more than just time. This belief led us to establish our very own scientific discipline: the science of movement – it’s about the expertise of how to build a watch movement, but also about the pursuit of moving into the future with a traditional craft.
Think of it as a formula – we combine scientific precision with artisanal excellence, and contemporary thinking. The result? Timepieces that are built around the very movements that bring them to life. Where every mechanical detail is rethought, refined, and revealed. Timepieces that equally fascinate scientific minds with their precision and captivate.
Time isn't just relative. It can be absolutely beautiful.
As an independent watchbrand, we produce virtually all components in-house – because we believe that true horological passion simply cannot be outsourced. Our core design-aesthetic, which we call “transparent mechanics,” reveals most of these highly decorated parts. Because of this design approach, each component must look and work impeccably – and that’s why we prefer to craft them ourselves with the highest level of horological love, dedication and precision. Instead of just… well… buying them from someone else who might lack the horological passion we call our guide.
With the transparent mechanics design approach, we invite you to explore the art of horological precision. You will find it in every hand-finished bridge, every meticulously polished wheel, every perfectly hand-polished bevel, and in how all of these components harmoniously come together in each of our timepieces.
Science + Art = A proven formula
In our world, beauty isn’t just looks. It’s found in the perfect synchronization of a resonance system. It’s in the interplay of movement surfaces that catch light in countless ways. It’s in knowing that beneath every bridge and behind every wheel lies a workpiece that’s hand-finished beyond measure. Even if it is hidden away somewhere in the very middle of the watch movement. This is how we transform scientific precision into mechanical art – making the technical beautiful and uncovering often hidden mechanics. Consider it peer-reviewed perfection.
